Knitting is the art of turning threads int I think when people try to learn to knit they choose the wrong pattern and the wrong supplies. I wanted to set out some basic knitting instructions as a refresher so here it is.

Good quality yarns at lower cost include ‘Aran', ‘Double Knit', four ply, three ply as well as two ply. If you don't have one the you can just place the knitting on a fresh towel. Once you learn these two stitches you will find everything else is just a variation of the knit and purl stitches. I knit everything through the back loop, the result a twisted stitch which worked wonderfully with the yarn I was using.
