Simple Knitting Patterns
There are different knitting patterns, such as lace knitting, loop knitting, loom knitting, we will briefly discuss lace knitting, lace knitting is not that strange, anybody can do lace knitting, they are able to form threads and you can create beautiful patterns of cloths. Knitting is worked in rounds (the equivalent of rows in flat knitting) in a spiral. If you do not understand the written instructions do check out some of these videos.
Have you ever looked at something knitted? The process of knitting has three basic tasks, the active stitches must be held so they don't drop, these stitches must be released sometime after they are secured and new bights of yarn must be passed through the fabric, usually through active stitches, thus securing them. You can also knit mittens, scarves using the sock-knitting machine. Now count the stitches to make sure you haven't dropped any and turn the work around putting the knitting needle with the stitches on in your left hand to start the next row.
Once the knitted piece is finished, the remaining live stitches are "cast off. Depending on their size and shape, the rigid frames are called knitting boards, knitting rings (also called knitting looms) or knitting spools (also known as knitting knobbies, knitting nancies, or corkers). The choice available is vast and the decision depends on what garment you want to create.
You also will usually want to stick with chunky yarns (this is a good use for "novelty" yarns, which have lots of texture and are usually thick but also light and fluffy), since they knit up quickly so you can make more presents. Be sure to try using other available resources, such as local craft and hobby stores.
