Cool Knitting Patterns - knit with passion
Cool Knitting Patterns
Posted here are some easy knitting instructions for beginners. Like weaving, knitting is a technique for producing a two-dimensional fabric from a one-dimensional yarn or thread. Originally, circular knitting was done using a set of four or five double-pointed knitting needles.
And that's good, because you never want to run out of ideas. There are many websites devoted to teaching / sharing knitting techniques on the internet. Communities also exist online, with blogs being very popular, alongside online groups and social networking through mediums such as Yahoo! Groups, where people can share tips and techniques, run competitions, and share their patterns.
This pattern looks very nice especially for sweaters. A wale can split into two or more wales using increases, most commonly involving a yarn over. You could even teach a "keep up" class where people who have completed all three classes meet once a month or bimonthly to keep in touch with knitting. Now count the stitches to make sure you haven't dropped any and turn the work around putting the knitting needle with the stitches on in your left hand to start the next row.
A good place to start particularly if you are relatively new to knitting to look for patterns is the yarn skein, which comes wrapped and nearly every one of these will have a pattern on it. It can be a humbling experience to the perfectionist. However, it is not necessary to stick to the yarn or the needles specified in the pattern, but it is important to get the correct number of stitches per inch in order to have the right size, length and other characteristics of the pattern. Knitting becomes interesting automatically.
But, that's the essence of knitting. Get knitting!
